I love watching my kids participate in sports, especially when they are the star of the team! Nakia is turning into a one man team, just don't tell her that. I don't want it going to her head.

3000 Years of Change
"Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the promised land."
Then about 75 years ago, Roosevelt said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel, this is the promised land."

Goodies From Austria
How exciting! We got a package from Austria today.
It was from Marlenes parents and it was filled with YUMMY Austria
cookies and candy and a note that said:
Dear Joanna,
Dear Tello,
We hope you and your family
like the sweet greeting from Austria!
Thank you so much for all you are doing for Marlene!

CHALLIS in January
I have been so busy the past 6 months I haven't had any blog time at all. In fact, I have a list a mile long of things I need to be getting done right now, but I'm rebelling for a moment and doing what I want to do.
We went to Challis for a quick overnighter in January. Mom & Dad are back out there now, after 18 months in Russia, (which I will post about later). Challis is beautiful! Especially my parents property, it's a perfect little oasis right on the Salmon River. Dad always said he would have a place like that someday.
Wow, well my 4 minutes of "my time" is up. Franny's begging for attention and I have a Chiro appointment to get to. My stupid hip has been causing me pain the past month, figured I've had enough sleepless nights, it's time to fix the problem.

High Country Sports
Congrats to both Snake River soccer squads!

Spent over four hours watching the fifth district soccer tournament at Marsh Valley today and at the end of the day, both Snake River squads wound up winning their championships on penalty kicks. My hat is off to both of them and I am sure that they will represent well at the state tournament next week or as the boys head coach Trevor Peterson said after the game, “Teams better watch out for us.”
Congratulations Panthers on a job well done!

"Lights, Camera, Fun"
Part of the hype of the EISF is the kick off day parade, where the most creative and dedicated float that best represents the theme of the year wins $500!
The Indians had a pretty cool float, they took first place......
and the Chambers float took 2nd. I think they won $300
We got a great spot that wasn't overly congested! Ofcourse by the time most of the floats made it to us they had no energy left in them.
Film found the green guys so enticing she couldn't resist a photo with them. I'm not sure she understood they were just in costumes.
And here we have cousin Bracken Gittins and his posse. They are the IMPRA BULL FIGHTERS OF THE YEAR!
