Tello's 40 now!

Tello's 40th birthday was thursday. So now for the next 7 years, I (being in my thirtys) will be married to a man who is in a decade older than me. He is protesting that fact, but you can't run from the truth!!! hehehe.

We had a lunch at the office for him with a few of the agents that could make it. Looks like his cake had so many candles it almost started the office on fire

This is Paul Griffin (the newest agent to the Exit Realty Idaho Falls office) and Special Agent Clint Croft. The really scary thing here is that Clint and Tello have IDENTICAL personalities.

Cliff Diving

Not all of us that jumped off the cliffs at Lake Powell actually dove. The brave boys did some pretty cool flips, dives, poses off the cliffs but the rest of us held our nose & our breath and kinda stepped off, just to push thru a fear.

This jump was the funniest of all. Jerica was instructed by Marlo not to look down or she wouldn't do it, just start walking and walk right off. So Jerica did just that, nobody was expecting her to go so quickly, not ever her hubby, (in the white shorts with his head cut off here) who has his hands on top of his head with a holy crap look on his face.

This is a new look Francine has recently developed, this is the more mild version of it though, she can give a killer stink eye at times.

Dancing on top of the boat

Jerry had a few rules set up before taking off for our AWESOME family vacation.
1) Each family gets a night to prepare dinner and entertainment
2) The entertainment has to be really entertaining
3) When it's your night for dinner, you also get to clean up!

My family along with Marlo's family got night 2. Actually we got night 3, but the fish Marlo brought was defrosted and we didn't want to risk smelling it the next day, so we took night 2 instead. Marlo & Bruce prepared a really tasty Halibut dinner, I took care of the baked potatoes & burnt them just a little.
After dinner and clean up everyone gathered on the top of the house boat and Marlo tried to get us to all join her cult and critique her scriptures she made up. Jerry wouldn't have any of that so she resorted to plan B, which was Line Dancing.
She taught us the new line dance to "Good Time" by Alan Jackson. It was lots of fun! A few of the more talented, coordinated members of the family actually caught on.




I admit this picture doesn't do Linda justice, but she had to leave the next morning and I wasn't able to get many pictures of her since she was only there for one day, but she's still beautiful!!! (and Christopher is a cutie as well : )

Nakia & Liz. Liz is going to be my neice-in-law next november. Nakia is standing on her tippy toes and Liz is bent over & still towers over Nakia.

After line dancing the mood got a little more romantic for some and proceeded to do some famous bear hugging. Jonathon & Jamie have been married for somewhere between 3 and 7 years and still act like newleyweds, probablly cuz they don't have any little ones running around crazy!

Sand Castle Competitions

There's nothing like a good battle of creativity, ability and originality to really bond a family together. There were two prizes to be won. 1)Speed- the team that found all their scavanger hunt items and completed their castle first & 2) the coolest sand castle.

Jonathan & Jamie won the speed prizeNot only is their sand castle modest, they put a bit of love into theirs that nobody else thought of. Thru their little sand forest we have the mother-in-law cottage. How sweet : )

Austin, Liz, Terri & Shay won the coolest castle prize. They have a bit of the competitive edge to them and pulled out all the stops cuz your either first place or last place!

Kya, Paula & Carl made an awesome mermaid but disqualified them selves because they were the judges and they made a sand sculpture not a sand castle.

And after the sand castle competition was complete the competitive instincts in some were unleashed and the next competition began.....

Lake Powell

Our arrival at Lake Powell with the family. Jerry is treating the whole fam damly to a vacation. He rented this totally rad house boat for the next 4 days. There's 28 of us. Jerry, Chris, Christopher, Nate, Chelsee, Jerica, Morgan, Carl, Paula, Kya, Terri, Shay, Austin, Liz, Linda, Jonathan, Jamie, Marlo, Bruce, Zahrah, Zac, Clancey, me (Joanna) Tello, Angelea, Nakia, Ben, Andy & Francine. There's 6 members of the Gregersen that didn't make it. George (farming), Natalie & Payton (last minute cancellation), Mom & Dad (mission in Russia), & Shon (mission in Ohio)
