It blows my mind when I walk into the high school to check my daughter out of class. It's like deja vu, & to be quite honest, I don't really like a lot of the emotions, thoughts, feeling, images & insecurities that surface as I walk the halls of that building. 16 years sounds like forever ago, but in all actuality, it feels like just yesterday I was a student there. And let me just say I am SOOOOOOOO thankful I'm past teenage life. What an emotional train wreck that was. I sometimes wonder how I ever made it through high school.

Obviously I have reason to feel this way. I mean, check me out (sorry Lorraine, that I have to throw you under the bus to get my point across, but you look cute)
Here we have the mullet hair-do, thankfully hidden by the cheesy hat. The florescent orange accents on the shirt and socks that are totally visible due to the "peg and roll" pants era. And to top this stylish outfit off, we have the solid white high tops (LA Gear of course) And to think, this was the prime of my adolescence.

Oh my gosh! Too funny. Believe it or not, my soon to be 16 year old has told me that lots of 80's clothes were really cute! She was an "80's girl" for halloween - bought her costume in the Jr. section @ Target. Now, the hair is a different story - love the bangs thing going on!
Ha ha...nerd! I love it. I couldn't agree more that styles need to change frequently. This one especially!
You are a couple of Hotties! I love when people post pictures from back in the day!!!! Those shoes are to die for!
I totally remember dressing that way! I also hate the feelings that come when I go back to places from my past. I had no idea you had a mullet! That was a nice touch.
You are right about the self timer on my camera. I don't know why that didn't cross my mind at that moment.
And, I apologize for my sister-in-law's comment about your post. I obviously really enjoyed what you had said. She's not afraid to share opinions and they are always really strong. But, if we were the same I guess life would be boring right? Anyway, hope to see you soon!!!!
Prime!? No, no, no... I've got your "prime" pictures in the other room. When I'm all recovered & have a little more free time I will post your "prime" time & we'll all get a good laugh!
Ha Ha Ha!!! I guess that is what I get for joining the blogging world! That was the day I got my hair cut off really short and everyone thought it was part of my costume. Unlucky for them, I came to school the next day and it was still short. Oh well..... good times, good times! (Ex: "Bombs were beating at our heads!") By the way, thanks for adding me to your blog list! Luv ya girl.
